Hair removal and reduction

Electrolysis treatment

Electrolysis treatment

Electrolysis is considered to be one of the most effective hair reduction treatments available. Coarser and finer hair types, from dark to white/grey, can be treated and there are no restrictions as to skin types or hair colour etc.

In areas where the hair is thicker and coarser the Electrolysis treatment will need to be done several times in order to destroy the hair follicle.

Alkaline wash treatment

The Danné Alkaline Wash system is a remarkable treatment designed to reduce fine, downy hair. This type of hair is very difficult to remove as the hair growth is usually dense and would take a long time to treat with Electrolysis.
The advantage of Alkaline Wash is that you can remove large areas of fine, downy hair in one treatment. After the first treatment the hair will grow back at its normal rate but as treatments progress the regrowth rate will become slower.

A patch test must be carried out 24 hours prior to the treatment to ensure that your skin is suitable for the Alkaline Wash treatment.
The treatments will be approximately 2 weeks apart to start with, then onto a month apart and then longer periods of time as the hair starts to reduce in growth.

Hair reduction - Waxing

Waxing is a very effective temporary method of removing hair on the body. It is extremely popular for legs, under arms, bikini lines and for men wanting to remove back or chest hair
In some cases waxing is used on the face, such as to define or tidy up eye brows, or  to remove hair on the top lip. For darker, courser and stubborn facial hair, electrolysis is generally the only permanent form of hair removal. Alkaline wash would be recommended for reduction of finer downy hair on the face.
If you are concerned about hair problems you may be experiencing, Debbie can answer any questions you may have about the treatments. During a free consultation she could recommend the right course of treatment for your specific requirements.
