Skin imperfections, age spots, skin tags, red veins

age spots

For the removal of Age spots, warts, seborrheic keratosis, skin tags and verruccas

Cryotherapy is a simple, effective and relatively low risk treatment for the removal of pigmentation marks, skin tags, age spots, warts, verrucas and seborrheic keratosis, without damaging healthy skin.

Most imperfections such as age spots, milia and angiomas are removed by one treatment, however sometimes a second treatment on bigger areas may need a second treatment. Skin tags, verrucas and warts are more difficult to treat and will take more treatments. In this instance, a follow up session is recommended after 2 to 4 weeks to confirm that all pathological tissue has disappeared.

For more information on a specific removal, contact Debbie at Allure Beauty Ltd.

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy innovation is a new fast, effective and safe solution to remove skin imperfections without damaging healthy skin. Procedures typically take from 5 to 25 seconds, dependent on how many you have and how many areas that are being treated. As it is quick you can be in and out of the salon in no time.

A fine stream of nitrous oxide is emitted onto the area under high pressure allowing the therapist to work with millimeter precision. It is used to freeze and destroy benign skin adhesions in the following way:-
Tissues are destroyed by freezing the inter-cellular fluid – this then forms ice crystals, which in turn rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. The surrounding healthy skin in not affected as the area can be very accurately treated.

Many cosmetic procedures are no longer being treated by doctors on the NHS, and this method of Cryotherapy is very successful. Another added advantage is that it is very quick and virtually painless unlike the electrolysis method which is a little more uncomfortable but very effective none the less.
Cryotherapy is the ideal treatment for:
  • Pigmentation
  • Age spots
  • Warts
  • Viral verruca
  • Seborrheic keratosis
age spots, solar lentigo
Broken veins, broken capillaries

Milia removal

Milia are small, white (or sometimes pale yellow) spots that usually appear around the eyes, on the cheeks, eyelids, forehead and anywhere on the face where there is general dryness. Apart from making people worry about their appearance, milia aren't harmful and don't need to be treated in any way. They are usually due to the skin’s natural secretion process being blocked by dead skin cells. As this process naturally continues, the keratin and sebum produced form a hard white bump under the skin which just gets bigger until it is removed.

Milia can be  treated with Cryotherapy, but a professional salon treatment to create a tiny incision into the skin to extract the milia is sometimes more cost effective. This is also a better method for treating larger areas, producing good results with no damage to the skin.

The skin may form small scabs where the incisions have been made to extract the milia. This is not always the case and sometime there is no scabbing at all. If there is it will heal within 4-5 days.

Broken veins/thread veins/spider naeva and broken capillaries

Broken veins, broken capillaries, spider naevae, and other skin imperfections can be unsightly, difficult to cover and spoil the look of our skin. As we age they can increase in quantity, become more distinctive and physically age the appearance of the skin. They can be easily removed using advanced electrolysis techniques to cauterize the vein or capillary network. Once treated, the skin will begin to look clearer, smoother and more youthful very quickly after the treatment.

You can expect to see results 2-6 weeks after treatment.

Give us a call to book an initial consultation where the treatment itself can be discussed in more detail and a suitable treatment plan can be decided on.

Blood spots/cherry angiomas or Campbell de Morgan's

These are clusters of capillaries at the surface of the skin which form a small round dome which may be flat topped or slightly raised. As they vary in size and range in colour from bright red to purple , they are so brightly coloured that they can be cosmetically unsightly and stand out. Found on adults on all areas on the face and body they usually appear more with age.

These spots can be treated using cryotherapy, however the preferred method is advanced electrolysis. Where there are larger quantities this is the most cost effective and cosmetically acceptable method with minimal or no scarring at all. The full effect of treatment can be seen at 4-6 weeks post treatment.
